Wishing you all
a
Merry Christmas
and a
Happy New Year!
We will see if I have time to post some more before next year comes. I will have my mom down for visit a couple of days after Christmas and past New Year. Christmas I will spend together with a cousin and her family and my auntie. Bless them all for allways being there for me when my own kids are off for their daddys every second year for the holidays! What would we be without our families...
Since my youngest girl (13) left to stay full time with her dad on june 2nd. (yes I know I haven´t told you about this tragedy -just bits and pieces about it, but you know how I have been feeling ) my family has grown even more fond to me. The family is the most important in life, and I am so happy to have my two other kids still around me. Even if my oldest is living in his own place as he is now grown to be 23. He comes home for dinner almost every sunday, and we keep in touch alot on the phone and other visits as well. And my oldest daughter (15) stays home with me one week and at her dads one week.
I love them so much my heart aches.
Well, here comes my paintings. One more from the same reference as earlier. A much smaller one and more abstract. Fast and fun to paint! Here I tried using maskingmedium on the white paper, and then lifted some with the brush around the white marks to make the edges a little softer. In the water I used sandpaper for the white reflections. NO white colour in this one. Only the white from the paper.

My daughter Anna thought I should paint some more in this painting below. Maybe some water in the center. But I kind of like it the way it is now. The light coming in between the two mountains. And also the way I painted it -doesn´t show much here though- I rubbed the colour off A LOT with a moist hard brush, so that the texture of the paper shows abit between the pigments. I did this everywhere exept on the mountais and sky. It gave the painting a kind of different look. I almost forgot to post this. It has been in my drawer for several weeks now!

I can feel with you and this tragedy must have been so hard for you. Once somebody told me the quality of a relationship is much more important than the quantity ... so I wish the quality of the relationship to your youngest daughter will grow. Your pictures are wonderful! My favourites are the boat on the sea - very peaceful - and the colorful mountains - they look so wonderful relaxing to me. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteIt still is very hard. But somehow life must go on. I have to accept that I can´t do anything. I am so lucky to have my paintings to make me relax a while from life around me.
