Jeopard. Ready?

I´m home on sickleave so painting is my therapy at the moment, so here is my Jeopardpainting I started painting a long time back.

My question to you are now:
Should I put some whisker on the cats nose with a little white gouache? I hope google translate is working fine with me this time, or that you can guess what I mean, because I have no clue what so ever to what the right word is ;)  Never talked about any cats nosehair before!

Below two WIP-photos from this Jaguarpainting, and the referencephoto from pmp (paint my photo).

I´m so happy for your visit and I LOVE reading your comments!
Wellcome back!

  1. Hello Catharina . Nice to see you are still painting, and this is truly beautiful , an absolute favorite ! What a wonderful and intense look in the eyes you created ! Yes, I think the whiskers ( knurhaar in danish ) would make this painting pure perfection in my opinion. Have a nice weekend.

  2. The translation works perfectly. The painting is brilliant but I think the whiskers would 'put the icing on the cake' (let's see how that translates :)

    2. As we say here in Sweden instead of ´´The icing on the cake´´: ´´The dot above the i´´. (Pricken över i).

  5. beautifully done Catharina ...you could always scrape lightly the paper with a scalpel for the whiskers

    1. Thank you Jane. :) Yes I tried that on another paper. Still is a bit affraid of damaging the papers surface, in case it doesn´t look good....

  6. This is a fabulous painting Catharina ... love it!!! You'll have used your Gouache by now to do the whiskers but I wanted to say I often add white details like that using White Acrylic. Good luck it. ;-)

    1. Glad you like it :) Just a few whiskers. I have to try out the two different mediums John to learn about their differences. Thank you for letting me know! :)
