Blog-break due to my moving in may! Busy, busy, busy........

First of all I´d like to tell you about a good thing; we have found a new smaller and cheaper apartment down town. I have been looking for an apartment now since my youngest moved to her fathers, because the apartment we live in now is too big and far too expensive for only two people and me working only part time. And every other week I am all alone here, so you can imagine. From 96 square meter down to 63 square meter. This apartment I can keep even after my last kid has moved out, so that is good. Looking forward to the new place but don´t like all the work that follows with it! It has one big bedroom and one very small bedroom. I will leave the big bedroom for my daughter until she moves to her own place. Hopefully I will be able to get room for my paintingstuff in my small bedroom also. I have only a small bed so I don´t think there will be any problems. The new apartment will be mine maj 1:st. but as I am going to have the apartment renovated I will leave my old flat on may 15th.. I will be packing a little every day now to keep it as simple as possible. I don´t want to stress about it the last week. I am hoping to get some help from my kids so that I don´t hurt my back again! And I also have plans for letting a company move my heavy furnitures, including my piano. This will end up costing quite a bit but I am thinking that it is a major problem trying to paint and change carpets when I am living there, coz the apartment isn´t that big -where to move the furnitures? -so it is much much easier to renovate before moving in. Next time renovating -walls maybe -will be in about 20 years, when I am 70 (!)

My first painting of a hen. It´s only a small painting on Arches watercolour paper. I have used salt tecnique for the grass. Not a succes but it will do as my first tryout.  :)

Well, I will not have much time left for commenting on all your blogs and posting myself coz as you all know it takes a lot of time. Time that I don´t have now. So a couple of month ahead until I have moved and gotten settled in my new home, I will only visit you to look at your beautyful paintings to keep my inspiration, but I will not comment. Hope you will understand. If I find some minutes to paint during this time, I will post the paintings later.

I will be back posting and commenting as soon as I have the time!

Love Peace and Happiness

  9. All the best wishes for your move! Sounds good, but I know... a lot of work. Packing already in advance is a good idea, I did that when I moved a year ago. Love the hen! I hope you find room for your painting stuff! See you back soon!

  11. P.S. Don't forget to number your boxes and keep a list of what is in the boxes! That helped me a lot, because after a while you don't remember what is in the boxes. Take care!

  17. Hi Catharina, it seems to be moving time. I also am moving but not until next year. As we are moving from a 4 floor house to a one floor bungalow we have a lot to sort out and get rid of. As we also have our house in France and don't want to miss summer over there it takes a lot of time. Gives me and my husband time to make plans :-)
Love your hen!! Take care and don't stress yourself!

My next project now is to give away a painting to "the childrens cancer fund" here in Sweden. I did that last year too. "The pink birchtree" if you remember. This time it´s leening to the painting in my last post. The painting in my header. The deadline for getting my painting in to their magazine is tonight so that is my work for tonight. Take care everyone!
