Your comments and all that bright colour in my last painting made me very inspired to do more tulips. The one that I have made now is very different from the last one. Not at all the same painting tecnique. (If you like to see the progress of my painting please have a look in my "WIP/tutorial" page above.)
I don´t know what has happened here, my pageviews went "up the roof" yesterday. It usually don´t get "sky high" that quickly. The increase of the pageviews usually are more consistent.
I have found a new artblog: Please check out this watercolour painting. It´s beautyful!
When looking at my painting I am thinking of if I maybe should put in some more darks in the shadows between the petals...

Lovely tulips again and yes, a different technique but still great. The red works really well in this. Love it!!!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful all your tulips are! I enjoy these pictures so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stefanie :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful textures in the background and I like the subtle shadows on the leaves. I do think you are right that a little deeper shadows between the petals and even between the leaves(such as you did on the bottom right) will add a lot to an already pretty piece:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your advice minniemie :) I think I will make some deeper shadows. I think too that some more contrast in my painting would be for the better.
ReplyDeleteWat een heerlijke stijl. Groetjes, Marleen.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment :)
Deletethis is beautiful. I like the softness of the leaves and background as it makes the red of the tulips pop even more so personally I don't think it needs any more shading.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I will think some more about this before I make any changes.
