I don´t know what to think about this painting!
It was mostly playing around, plus I did it also because I
needed to try to paint a tulip from another angel than
before.Maybe I should paint blue inside of the tulips
instead of violett?
YES I will, right NOW.

This is a few hours later:
I have tried to change the colour to blue, but as I was
rubbing the paper quite hard, I messed it up.
Well, it doesn´t matter too much as I wasn´t that
fond of the painting anyway. I´m allready working on
a new one. Tulips; what else. haha

Titel: Tulip abstract 2

And:
Yesterday I took a long and restful walk. Here is some photos I took:

 Springflowers

Do you see the bird up at the left sitting on the old tree?
Click the photo to see it in larger size!
This area where I took my walk is a nature
reserve. (Is that the right name for it?)

An old (protected) mansion. There is a restaurant
nowadays. (The house to the left). I have never been inside.

If you click on the photo to enlarge; you will be able to
see the OLD black car infront of the left house.

The same area from another perspective.

  1. I like them! Good idea to use blue it will separate the tulips from the background. You are loosening up Catharina!

  5. It's great to experiment with something unusual or something you have never done before and sometimes it pays off. These tulips have a real abstract feel to them which is rather nice

  9. I really like the colours on this and the loose feel. I also really love the back-run effects you've got here. Nothing wrong with this!!

    1. I have been trying to control the "back-run" effect on this one. It´s not that easy! But this painting I concider ruined now after all that scratching on the paper. Better luck next time! Thank you for your comment anyway :)

  10. Catharina, I like the tulips and I like the photos, too! If you're not happy with the tulips right now, give the painting a few days and come back to it to play some more. I wonder what kind of bird is in your photo. It looks like he has a touch of scarlet on his head. I think you should go inside the restaurant and check it out. The buildings are absolutely charming!

  11. I went through a big tulip phase... i swear I painted them 50 times... in watercolour, and acrylic and oil paint... I was obsessed with their wonderful shape and gorgeous colours... they are fun to draw and paint aren't they... you have done some wonderful ones in these last few posts and the photos in this one are wonderful... I love the colour on the buildings...

    1. This last tulip painting is going in the bin. It´s trash, beyond the rescuing stage. But thank you for your inspiring comment Trace!
Oh; I saw a beautyful thea´cup yesterday when I went shopping in Kristianstad with my youngest. I would have taken a photo of it if only the store wasn´t allready closed. I don´t think you could have seen it very well throught the window. Maybe next time. I was supposed to buy some clothes for myself also, but as allways I ended up only buying clothes to my daughter, and when she was finished shopping the store where closing up. So next saturday I have the weekend for myself as the girls are at their fathers, so that saturday is booked for ME shopping. Saturday after that is booked for the oldest daughters shopping.
