This one I made very fast just before I went to bed last night. It´s my favourite tree, Birch. This one is more of ordinary watercolour technique. I have lifted upp the branches with a cloth before it dried completely. And the details I painted in the end.
Well. Now I´m up for a late breakfast. I´m starving here!

Beautiful! I love birch trees, too. Those and maples are my favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rita. :) Yes Birches are so fun to paint, and they can get very beautyful on a painting, if you succede.
DeleteNot so ordinary Catharina. Your technique is beautiful and so difficult to achieve I know.
ReplyDeleteHow kind of you Laura. :) Thanks. Watercolour isn´t the easiest to paint with I know. But sometimes when you actually succede it looks really beautyful. Take care!
DeleteHa quedado una acuarela muy espontánea y bella. Felicidades! y gracias por seguir mi blog,:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jesús :)
DeleteVery nice Catharina and an interesting technique.
ReplyDeleteThank you John! I am pleased with this one myself too.
DeleteSehr schöne Farbverläufe. Zart und wundervoll;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Janina!
DeleteOh, this is beautiful, loose wet technique, I like that you let the colors do their thing and left them alone - fresh and crisp.
ReplyDeleteI went to bed while some of the colours where still moving around. It´s exciting to wake up the morning after to have the first look!
ReplyDeleteThank you Blaga!
Beautiful fresh artwork Catharina! I love how cold left correspond with warm right.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Irina
Your comment make me happy Irina :) You blogfollowers allways makes me look at my paintings in new ways. And that´s good. I reflect more over my work that way. Hope you know what I mean. Thank you!
DeleteHello Catharina:) Fast but beautiful! Love the tree coming out of the colors. The colors are so opposite but that's the magic of this painting. Great art!
ReplyDelete:) Thank you dear Renate! I have been thinking more about the opposite colours after you mentioned it. I learn so much from you and my other sweet followers. I believe that the outcome will be that I will plan my paintings more before I start painting, and that I will more often get the result that I have planed from the start. Nice knowledge. Thank you so much! Take care!
DeleteLovely, birch trees are one of my favorites and your painting is beautiful!
