Early autumn.
At the moment I´m having a downslope. Both about myself and about my artistic abilities. I believe I have been "standing still" for some time, not moving forward at all, just "being" in the moment.
I feel I do not have a goal in my life, and that is sad I think. I don´t believe in myself or think that I am strong enough to achieve any goals.
It´s tough work to rase children on your own. You LOVE them, allways wanting their best and you´re struggling to make the best for them, and making ends meet at the same time.
I´m exhausted.

DeleteDid you put all this exhausted thoughts into your wonderful picture last night? It is a remarkable transformation. The picture looks admirably! The colors and the atmosphere reminds me of a wonderfull dream. I like it so much. I can understand your thoughts very well. I was a single mom too for six years and I know sometimes it is so exhausting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stefanie for your kind words.
DeleteDear Catharina:) This is why they called it "the dark days before Christmas"! It's the pressure of those days a lot of people are suffering from. I'm sure after januari 1st it will be better! I'm talking from experience. Your words are very recognizable for me. Stay calm and let it go over you. Take care:)xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Renate. It probably is. Let´s hope so anyway.
DeleteHi Catharina, do not worry too much, it is quite normal to have periods like that you are living now. I'm sure that you will feel better soon, let the time to pass quietly and take the life as it comes....and continue to painting, your works are nice! Ciao!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tito. Life is up and down I know. And I will continue my painting.
DeleteNice to see that you are back too. Painting is fun, get inspired by artists, ad something from them with yours, make it yours and see what happens. I have no idea where it will end and I know I have a long journey ahead. I also struggle, what to paint etc. But I end up painting what I like and trying to have fun...
ReplyDeleteHappy painting... =)
Thank you Roger!
ReplyDeleteIch liebe die zarte Farben. Du hast eine herrlich leichte Hand;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping by my blog & I'm glad you liked my advent wreath. I've just spent some time looking at your paintings & they are wonderful. Don't knock yourself, have faith in yourself. You have a quote written on your sidebar take a look at it & then think YOU are worth it. Best wishes Barbara Lilian
ReplyDeleteCatharina, it is tough to raise children by yourself, I know ...because I did it ! Life is like a wave, and we all have ups and downs...painting is a good way to put your feelings into. Do be kind to yourself. Hugs .
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments Janina, Barbara and Jane.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely painting Catharina. I know exactly what you mean when you say you don't believe in yourself. Life is a rollercoaster and the low times make us feel this way. Thankfully better times are just around the corner. Remember, you can't have a rainbow without rain. I wish you a very happy Christmas. ;)
