Last painting I have done at me and my familys holiday up in the north of Sweden in my mothers house. I gave this painting to my brothers daughter as a present yesterday. Original paintings are too expensive for young people to buy, when they have bought an old house that needs to be renovated, and when they have recently started a family. Glad to help out a bit.
This is the first time I have painted a mirror with reflections.
The photo is taken after the painting was framed so there
is atleast one reflection that is not suposed to be on the picture.
The line that is just above the pears from left to right on the painting is
a reflection of the glas. I allmost forgot to take this picture of the
painting. I remembered when we were leaving.

The fruit is on top of a mirror.

DeleteThat is a fascinating and fun composition. Very daring. And it works!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nora! :) Well it´s not that easy first time. But I will try again in different ways to see the difference. What I was thinking about was that maybe I should have som more dark on the shadow side of the pears. But then again I thougt that they were laying on a mirror so that the mirror must reflect som light. Am I right or what do you think?
DeleteHi Catharina, it looks to be a very difficult subject that you have painted very well. What a nice present! Hug!

DeleteI am visiting from the Art Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful gift. I am sure they are very happy to have it. One of our rooms is furnished with family art, from my father, sister, husband, and children. It is nice to feel connected to family through their art I think.
I enjoyed your post!
